Fun Sunday December 2010

We try to have a fun Sunday every three to four months, where we give out gifts for attendance, memory verse, and any other thing the teacher desires to honour her students for. We also give out refreshments/party bags, and play games. For these occasions, all classes join together and have fun. Here are some highlights from that Sunday!

Fun Moments

I have started a discussion time with the youths from our church, and I realize how much I miss hanging out with youths and young adults. Watching them praise God together, and interact with each other is precious. The first discussion went well last Friday. Please pray that the youths learn what's being discussed so that they can develop healthy relationships in the future and now. Pray that I learn from this whole experience about them and how to properly represent God's truth.

DANGRIGA CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

NEWS UPDATE

Things have been slowly happening here in our congregation. I (Sharlene) will start teaching at least once a month, while Herdie continues to teach the other Sundays. Our youth group, lead by Natasha, continues to meet Friday nights. Over the summer they met on Thursdays at the park. This was great, as other people in the park would come and listen to what they were saying. They will try and continue this once a month. Following is a report from Natasha’s perspective:

Hi,

I would say that ‘Reflection Youth Group’ youths are doing well. Our meetings are interesting and we always go home learning something new, or being reminded of something. We have several committed members, and we are growing slowly but surely. Leading this youth group helps me to be a better person and it also teaches me about the way humans think.

I also view it as a place I can go and relax and have fun, be myself, and yet being positively influenced and learning about God. Right now I am playing the role of the church opener, the youth meeting reminder, and the president and vice-president, secretary and treasure. It isn’t hard as the group is small. I love Revelation Youth Group!

Natasha.

Prayer meetings have been resurrected and going well. Sometimes we are exhausted, but we show up still. We have already seen praise reports from items we prayed for.

The leaders/pastors have been meeting together for prayer once a month. It is a fairly new thing, and we look forward to how God will lead us in this. We also stand with other pastors/leaders from around Belize to have our laws regarding abortion corrected. Right now, even though abortion is illegal in Belize, thousands are performed every year. Please pray with us as conversations to see this changed have begun with the Prime Minister.
