A few days ago God showed me on a deeper level what happens when someone is born again.
It was a glorious reminder for me, and it enabled me to share that awesome experience more fully. It was closer to what Jesus had in His heart and mind when He said it years ago to Nicodemus. (John 3)
The only condition to being born again of God's Spirit is to confess sins and believe in Him.
1Jn 1:9 says it clearly: 'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.'
The birth must happen to enter or even see His kingdom. (John 3: 3&5.) That cannot be avoided.
When we confess and believe, His commitment to us being His children kicks in, and in high gear. God is not half hearted about what He does in us at re-birth. He doesn't ponder how long we took to confess and believe. He simply and immediately forgives and cleanses and make us His.
