My burden vs Christ burden

In Matthew 11: 30, Christ talks about His burden that is light. Sounds like an oxymoron to me. How can a burden be light?
God stamped this truth in my mind and heart as I was teaching it a couple days ago. It has been a while since I taught His word to an audience /congregation /gathering, and I have always loved doing so. But this time, I got to experience Jesus's light burden before I was able to put it into words.
This time I literally taught as the Holy Spirit guided me word by word. I was just His child, His disciple, being obedient to God. I wasn't worried about how biblically sound I was, or if I am saying the right thing, or if the people are understanding or receiving what I was saying. Obeying God this time was a light burden, just like Jesus promised.
Jesus's burden is truly light. It does bring rest to my soul when I simply walk in obedience to Him. Rest from my worries and fears and concerns. Jesus takes care of the rest when I just simply obey Him.
Is your walk with God a heavy burden? Then you are still carrying your own burden, even though you have come to Him. If your burden is not light, then it is not His burden you carry, it is yours.
Is your life weighing you down? Is it a heavy burden?
Come to Jesus, become yoked with Him, and learn from Him. You will find rest for your souls. His burden is light.
