A Book Worth Reading

From very young, I always knew that I wanted to live (and should live) my life according to God's plan; even if that meant differently from how my parents lived theirs. Many times this meant much spiritual warfare and cutting stuff off so it does not go onto another generation. I never stop to think that this is a part of my legacy that I will leave behind; nor that I had to deliberately plan to leave the kind of legacy I desire. It meant stop worrying about the future and how life will be for me and my family, and planning according to God's direction my future and how I want to influence people. These latter thoughts have come about while reading a book called 'Unlocking Your Legacy' by Paul J. Meyers. It is the best teaching book I have read as it covers all areas of life in connection with the fact of who we are, who we are becoming and making us realize that whether we realize it or not, we leave a legacy behind-good or bad.
I have seen great changes in both Harrison and myself since reading it. If you have not read this book, I highly recommend you doing so. Let the legacy of 'trusting in the Lord with all our hearts, and leaning not on our own understanding...'(Proverbs 3:5)continue on till He comes again.

Prayer & Worship

Morning! The prayer and worship time at the park went well. Usually the park has people hanging out, but for the few minutes that I was there, it seemed well attended and supported. While I was there, with two of my daughters, I did not see anyone else was there from our church. I am pretty sure that at least one other member attended. Pastor Evans told me that after the prayer time, some people asked for pray at the end. This is the beginning of the churches in Dangriga working together to reach our town, and I praise God for it. We pray for God's guidance in future events.
So, why I was not there for the entire time? Well, that same Friday, I woke up at 4:00am with my son Josiah, to get ready for his school trip. We were gone all day and the bus arrived in Dangriga around 7:00pm. I was completely exausted, and would not have done justice to the prayer that I was to lead out in. I was a bit dissapointed in not participating as planned, but I enjoyed the day being with Josiah.
